Helium Tank Rental Policy

1. Permitted Use


Helium tanks rented from Balloons by LZ are to be used solely for lawful purposes, specifically for the inflation of balloons or other approved applications in compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations. The renter agrees not to use or allow others to use the helium for any prohibited, unsafe, or illegal activities.

2. Prohibited Uses


The renter expressly agrees that helium tanks shall not be used:

  • For inhalation or ingestion by any person;

  • In any manner intended to cause harm, injury, or death to oneself or others;

  • For any purpose other than the inflation of balloons or other lawful uses approved by Balloons by LZ.

 

3. Safety Responsibilities


The renter is responsible for ensuring that all individuals handling or using the helium tank have been properly instructed in its safe operation and understand the associated risks. Helium should only be used in well-ventilated areas and kept away from heat, sparks, or open flames.

 

4. Limitation of Liability

 

Balloons by LZ shall not be liable for any injury, death, damage, or loss resulting from the improper, unsafe, or unlawful use of the rented helium tank. This includes, but is not limited to, any misuse resulting in asphyxiation, inhalation injury, or self-harm.

5. Acknowledgment


By renting a helium tank from Balloons by LZ, the renter acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to comply with this policy. The renter further agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Balloons by LZ, its owners, employees, and agents from any claims arising from the misuse of the helium tank.

6. Bond

 

A refundable security bond of $200 cash is required for each small helium tank rental & copy of drivers licence/ID. 

 

A refundable security bond of $250 cash is required for each medium helium tank rental & copy of drivers licence/ID. 

​

  • The bond serves as security for the safe return of the tank, regulator, and any accessories in good working condition.

  • The bond will be refunded in full upon timely return of all rented items in undamaged condition and compliance with the terms of this agreement.

  • Balloons by LZ reserves the right to deduct from the bond any amounts necessary to cover:

    • Loss, damage, or contamination of the tank or equipment;

    • Replacement costs for missing items;

    • Late return fees ($10 per day) or additional rental charges;

    • Cleaning or repair costs resulting from misuse or negligence.

  • If damages or costs exceed the bond amount, the renter will be liable for the balance and agrees to pay upon demand.
